who we are
This website is operated by Simone Konomi, trading as 2442 Studio, based between Como (Italy) and Lugano (Switzerland). Simone Konomi is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
what data we process
Browsing data. When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, date and time of the request and the pages requested. This data is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure.
Contact requests. The contact form on this website does not send or store any data. When you click “send message”, it simply prepares an email in your own email application, which you decide whether to send. If you send it, we process the data it contains (such as your name, email address, company, phone number, message, links and attachments) only to reply to you and manage your request.
Content delivery. Images are delivered through the Sanity content delivery network and videos through Mux or, for some videos, Vimeo. To deliver this content, these providers necessarily receive your IP address and technical data about your device.
Optional analytics. Only if you accept cookies, Mux Data collects anonymous statistics about video playback (for example loading time and playback errors) and the Vimeo player may use its own cookies and statistics. Without your consent, Vimeo videos are loaded with tracking disabled. See our cookie policy for details.
purposes and legal bases
We process browsing and content delivery data to operate the website and protect it from abuse, based on our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We process the data you send us by email to answer your request and, where relevant, to take steps before entering into a contract (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or based on our legitimate interest in responding to you (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We process optional analytics data only with your consent (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time from the cookie policy page.
who receives your data
We use the following service providers, who process data on our behalf: Netlify, Inc. (website hosting, United States), Sanity AS (content management and image delivery, Norway and United States), Mux, Inc. (video delivery and, with your consent, video analytics, United States) and Vimeo.com, Inc. (video delivery for some videos, United States).
Some of these providers are located outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area. Where this is the case, transfers are based on the EU–U.S. and Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
how long we keep it
Browsing logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period, according to its own retention policy.
Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Your cookie preference is stored on your device for 12 months.
your rights
You have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable format and to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, such as the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali or the authority of the country where you live.
